Ramadan Greetings! It's that time of year again when Muslims from around the world participate in the holy month of Ramadan. During Ramadan, Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset, engage in charitable activities and focus on prayer, self improvement and dedication to belief. It is a time of intense spiritual renewal.
In addition to fasting and prayer, Ramadan also means entertaining family and friends at home. At the end of the day during Ramadan, it's customary to host guests and serve food to break fast with. These "after sunset gatherings" can range from very lavish to modest and quaint. Either way, hosting a successful "iftar" or break fast requires some coordination and a little planning.
I was more than thrilled to be asked by SISTERS magazine, the UK's first magazine for Muslim women to put together some tips on preparing your home for guests during Ramadan. The print and online magazine is comprised of an eclectic group of writers, journalists, and artists who are based all over the world, from London to New York to Johannesburg.
The tips I came up with can be used not only during Ramadan, but also for year round entertaining. You can check out the article below:

Wednesday "Must Haves" (sorry "life" happened between Monday and today and I'm just getting around to posting)
I wanted to introduce you to one of my fav Super Chic Color Combos: MINT & GOLD. Well, some call it "mint", some call it "seafoam green" while others refer to it as "pistachio," either way, combining this pastel and mettallic is a lways a good look in my opinion. Perfect for spring and summer, this combination is both fresh and classy all at once! What do you think?
