I'll have the non-alcoholic... BARCART

A recent design trend has been to add a sense of glamour and sophistication to a space by decorating it using vintage barcarts. You'd be surprised at all the cool and unique styles of vintage barcarts that are available today.

But how do you get on the band wagon with this design trend if you're like me and don't drink alcohol? I've wanted a vinatge barcart for sometime now, but felt silly buying one when I'll never have a bottle of alcohol in my house.  So I've been thinking of some alternative uses for barcarts in the home. Check these out!:

Yes!! You can use a barcart to store books, as a nightstand, or even as an endtable!  I love using things for reasons other than which they were intended. Makes for great conversation when people come over.

Here are just a few I found available online. So many different colors, styles and even sizes. There's one to go with any design style!

So what do you think?  Now that you've seen some alternative uses for barcarts, would you use a barcart in your own home?

  2. I just came across your blog by seeing your feature on MSN! Congrats! I don't know you, but my eyes almost bugged out when I saw your pretty hijabi face on the feature. Masha'Allah, it's great to see a Muslim face and reading this post about how to use a bar cart for non-alcoholic use is awesome :) (I love bar carts :) ) I'm glad to see a Muslim featured for something other than just being Muslim, and I'm glad to see you seem like a good example of one, Masha'Allah :D Congrats again, and may more success come to you Insha'Allah, ameen! Way to show us Muslim women can be and will be successful in all professional realms, Insha'Allah :)
